I am bringing up a bare metal core on the ARM11 Beaglebone Black. No O/S, no kernel. Get involved. Learn ARM/RISC architecture, Assembly, C and building executable images. Build private servers, clients, embedded controllers and Internet of Everything platforms that are lightning fast and bulletproof.
Bare metal means unrestricted access to hardware without the burden of a compromised O/S. No unpredictable execution behavior, complication, data-harvesters or viruses. Open-source ARM processor and peripheral drivers that are tight and intuitive to decode/modify in C and ARM-Assembly.
You can even write a driver and contribute to the effort. Turn that cheap little single board computer into a Ferrari!
